Propagating COGS Across EU Marketplaces

Overview

SellerLegend enables sellers to replicate Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) values across multiple European Amazon marketplaces, streamlining the setup process while maintaining consistency across EU listings.

Eligible Marketplaces

Propagation works exclusively among Euro-denominated EU marketplaces: Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Sweden, Poland, Belgium, Austria, Ireland, and Luxembourg.

Cross-regional transfers (EU to North America or Asia-Pacific) are not supported.

Implementation Methods

Bulk Upload Template Approach

1. Navigate to Products and Inventory > Products List
2. Click the Import/Export button
3. Export current COGS data as Excel
4. Complete the spreadsheet with cost information
5. Re-import to the target EU marketplace, selecting compatible destinations from system recommendations

Manual UI Method

Access individual product COGS editors and manually enter identical values in target marketplace listings.

Data Transfer Details

The propagation includes:

• Start/end dates
• Per-unit costs
• Unit quantities
• Vendor notes (when using detailed view)

However, currency values remain unchanged during transfer — no automatic exchange rate conversion occurs between markets.

Critical Limitations

• Propagation functions as a one-time static copy rather than continuous synchronization
• Subsequent cost changes require manual updates across all marketplaces
• Products must exist in both source and destination marketplaces for successful transfer
