The Customer Segmentation Settings Panel

Overview

Customer Segmentation allows you to categorize customers into performance tiers based on their sales behavior. This automated system enables you to create named segments (such as Platinum, Gold, Silver) with customizable thresholds per marketplace.

Access Instructions

  1. Navigate to the Main Dashboard
  2. Scroll to the Customer Segmentation Widget
  3. Click on Segmentation Rules

Key Features

Threshold Type Options

Choose how to measure customer performance:

  • Number of Orders
  • Number of Units
  • Total Customer Profit
  • Total Customer Revenue

Tier Configuration

  • Define up to 10 different tiers per marketplace
  • Customize tier names to your preference
  • Set threshold values that customers must exceed to reach each tier
  • Apply negative thresholds to segment unprofitable customers

Where Results Display

Customer segment assignments appear in three locations:

  • The Customer Segmentation Widget (pie chart on Marketplace Dashboard)
  • The Customers List Screen (Tier column)
  • The Order Modal Screen (Customer Details section)

How It Works

The customer is assigned to the Tier Name when he/she exceeds the number/amount specified in Threshold. Segments automatically update as customers accumulate additional orders and revenue.

Best Practice: Start with your highest tier and work downward, setting thresholds progressively.
