Amazon's Restrictions

The company adheres to Amazon's policy prohibiting collection and use of product listings, descriptions, or prices and data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction tools. SellerLegend accesses seller data exclusively through Amazon's official APIs (MWS and SP-API), which intentionally restrict access to:

• Product review tracking
• Keyword ranking data
• Product research/scouting capabilities

Why Not Use Alternative Methods?

While technically feasible through screen scraping, SellerLegend refuses this approach because it would violate Amazon's Terms of Service and risk account penalties for users. The company prioritizes protecting seller accounts over competitive advantage.

Our Position

SellerLegend acknowledges this creates competitive disadvantage against providers offering restricted features. However, the organization maintains that protecting your Amazon business privileges takes precedence over feature expansion.

Amazon has a history of taking sudden and severe action against violations -- even after long periods of tolerance.
