Defining One-Time And Recurring Expenses
Overview
SellerLegend's Operating Expenses feature allows users to define when and how often an expense should be applied as either single or regularly scheduled costs, with optional assignment to specific products or marketplaces.
Access and Navigation
Navigate via: Admin → Operating Expenses
Key Capabilities
Scheduling Features
- Set future start dates for expenses
- Choose from five frequency options: Once, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly
- Define intervals (e.g., every 2 weeks, every 3 months)
- Specify ending conditions: Never, After X Occurrences, or On a Specific Date
Assignment Options
- Link expenses to individual products (ASIN, SKU, or internal name)
- Assign to specific marketplaces
- Apply category labels for organizational grouping

Expenses are cached for performance -- allow up to 1 hour before they appear in Settlement Periods.
- Edit existing expenses using the options dropdown
- Add new expenses via the Add button
Practical Examples
One-Time Cost
A $500 photoshoot on February 15, 2025, assigned to a specific product ASIN.
Recurring Subscription
$97 monthly SaaS fee beginning January 1, 2025, with no end date.
Once configured, expenses automatically deduct from profits and appear in Settlement Periods and sales dashboards.
