The Settlement Periods Screen
Overview
SellerLegend's Settlement Periods feature offers an advanced alternative to Amazon Seller Central's Payments section. The system operates across two distinct interface levels: a comprehensive Settlement Periods List displaying all payouts, and detailed Settlement Period views providing financial breakdowns.
Settlement Periods List View
Access Location: Sales and Customers → Settlement Periods
This screen presents a searchable, sortable compilation of Amazon settlement cycles. Each entry represents a distinct settlement window during which Amazon reconciles transactions and initiates fund transfers or reserves.
Available Actions
- Review payout status and transaction history
- Navigate to detailed financial reports per period
- Sort by dates, amounts, or transfer status
- Export table data for external analysis
Key Columns
The interface displays settlement identifiers (clickable for detail views), account designations, marketplace regions, date ranges, transfer statuses, disbursement amounts, and payout dates.
Multiple Open Periods
Multiple concurrent open settlement periods can occur due to:
- Unified account structures spanning multiple regions
- Overlapping settlement windows
- Customized disbursement cycles
- Amazon's reserve management practices
When a settlement period closes, Amazon splits the funds into two separate groups: The Payout Group and The Reserve Group, representing withheld funds rolling into subsequent periods.
Settlement Period Detail View
Clicking a settlement ID reveals comprehensive breakdowns organized into four analytical tabs:
| Tab | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Summary | Aggregated revenue, fees, costs across entire period |
| By Product | ASIN-level metrics for each active SKU |
| By Brand | Results grouped by brand designation |
| By Product Group | Custom product grouping results |
Data Categories Included
- Sales metrics and units
- Revenue and refunds
- Amazon fees and adjustments
- Promotion details
- COGS, VAT, operating expenses
- Net profit calculations and margins
Key Advantages Over Seller Central
SellerLegend provides product-level breakdowns, brand and group analytics, VAT and COGS integration, PPC attribution, and custom expense tracking — capabilities unavailable in native Seller Central reporting.
